Process Paint Stripping Chemicals

Challenge was a pioneer and remains the current world leader in solventless barrier coat technology for process paint stripping (mask washing without solvents). Our barrier coat line includes polymer-based products for use in immersion and spray applications with solvent-based, as well as, water-based paints.

PPS History:

Paint masks have been used for many years in repetitive decorative painting. A paint spray mask having accurately formed openings is positioned adjacent the part to be painted. The openings in the mask define the areas of the part surface that are to be painted. Paint is then applied to the part's surface using a spray gun. After a number of parts have been painted--producing an accumulation of paint on the mask--the mask must be cleaned. The process used to clean the masks is known as "process paint stripping".
